1. Consider what you want to put in the safe (in terms of value and volume)?

valuables such as money, jewelry, savings books, stocks, etc. are often irreplaceable and require storage in a safe deposit box (certified) as well as insurance with an insurance company. Please note that insurance companies condition the security class of the safe and the type of certificate, which depends on the amount of insurance. Wertheim safes have Euro certificates (more in the chapter on certificates), and are available from class EN1 (lowest) to class EN6 (highest - larger safes for banks, savings banks, financial institutions…) for values such as household documents, weapons, spare keys, etc., cheaper models (without certificates) and negligibly lower quality are available (models of safes are listed in the group of small home and office safes - for these models it will not be possible to insure value with insurance companies) for valuables temporarily stored in hotel rooms - special hotel safes (ZHT models) are offered, including laptop safes (ZLT models, slightly larger in size) and other models (eg ZAT).

2. Selecting a place to accommodate the safe.

Choose a safe place that is primarily hidden from view. Take care of environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity and load capacity. If you are installing a safe in furniture, make sure that the shelf capacity is sufficient and that the safe can be professionally anchored through the back to the wall. Standard anchoring is performed in the floor, with the additional possibility of anchoring to the wall. It is recommended to anchor the safe weighing up to 1000 kg, and the required material is delivered with the safe.

If you intend to install the safe in the wall, you can choose a special version of the safe for that purpose, provided that each free-standing safe can be installed in the wall. Take into account the thickness of the wall in which you intend to install the safe.

3. Safe size

When choosing a safe, keep in mind that your desired storage space may increase in the future. On the pages of the model of safes, next to each model there is a schematic representation of the interior of the safe and a possible arrangement of shelves (with the shelves being adjustable in height)

4. Delivery and installation of safe

Depending on the size of the safe you are purchasing, check the following:

Is it necessary to provide a parking space, entry of the safe on the ground floor or first floor, is there an elevator (lift capacity) or is it necessary to enter the stairs, the width and height of the door opening through which the safe is entered, floor capacity for the position of the safe and possibility of proper anchoring (floor installations, floor heating, etc.)
